AHA Enzyme Body Lotion

A resurfacing body lotion powered by a blend of 10% AHA, BHA and fruit enzymes that refines the skin, whilst providing soothing moisture and boosting radiance for a lasting smoother and softer appearance. Infused with a refreshing scent, featuring notes of lemon, verbena and mint, the energising formula gently yet effectively exfoliates using glycolic and malic acid-derived AHA, and BHA from salicylic acid that work to exfoliate and break down dead skin cells on the skin’s surface and energise deeper within the skin to visibly smooth dry, rough or ‘strawberry’ skin and reveal a smoother texture and brighter appearance. Pumpkin enzymes, upcycled from the food industry, provide further, gentle exfoliation that evens the appearance of skin tone, while soothing Albatrellus confluens mushroom extract soothes irritation and reduces redness, leaving the skin feeling softer and looking healthier.

Key ingredients:

- AHA (glycolic and malic acid): These water-soluble acids, derived from sugar cane and other sugary fruits, promote skin cell renewal by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells, thus ensuring a smooth, radiant complexion. 

- BHA (salicylic acid): This oil-soluble acid stimulates the renewal of skin cells by breaking down dead cells on the surface and penetrating deep into pores to gently remove impurities and refine skin texture. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it reduces redness and is ideal for sensitive skin. 

- Upcycled pumpkin enzymes: sustainably sourced from pumpkin peel and pulp that would otherwise be discarded by the food industry in Europe. The crushed pulp is fermented with probiotic bacteria, filtered and the fruit enzymes are isolated to increase their stability and effectiveness. This process enables gentle exfoliation by removing dead skin cells while maintaining the skin's natural moisture barrier. 

- Albatrellus confluens mushroom extract: It helps interrupt the irritation cascade that triggers signs of sensitivity. By reducing redness and irritation, it counteracts the possible sensitizing effects of AHAs. 

Please patch test on a small area of skin first.

2-3 times a week, gently massage into dry skin until absorbed.

Note: A slight tingling sensation may be experienced for the first few applications. If you experience skin irritation or prolonged stinging, stop using the product and consult your physician.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA) that may increase your skin‘s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
