The british dermatologist Dr. Marko lens, founder of Zelens, is an acknowledged anti-aging expert. In addition to his degree at Harvard, he also received a doctorate for his skin cancer research. His findings are highly regarded in the industry and many of his formulations are now patented. Celebrities like Jourdan Dunn and Rachel Zoe entrust their skin only to Dr. Lens. His products deliver real results, not just promises.
Just in time for the beginning of spring we met the expert. We wanted to know how to give our pale winter skin a glow worthy of red carpet and we immediately drew a new skincare trend from Dr. Lens.
Key products of your range are the Treatment Drops Power A, C and D? What is your application tip and for whom are which drops suitable?
The Treatment Drops are very versatile and can strengthen any skin care routine as needed. Add a few drops to your serum or moisturizer, or apply alone to cleansed skin, then follow with your regime. Power A contains pure, encapsulated retinol and two retinoids to eliminate skin imperfections, smooth texture and reduce signs of aging. Use at night, either anywhere or in specific areas of your face. Power C brightens, tightens and protects the skin from harmful free radicals. The drops can be used in the morning or evening. Power D is loved by all skin types because it soothes, restores moisture balance, builds tone and protects the skin. You can also use these drops in the morning and evening.
Where do you see future trends in skin care?
We will continue to see more and more probiotics in skin care. There are an increasing number of studies showing how probiotics and bacteria in our intestines affect the skin. The different skin types also have different bacteria that occur naturally on the skin. It is these bacteria that we should look at in order to create an individualized skin care system. This would, of course, require a skin analysis to determine which products you should use on this basis. I predict that this will be possible in about five to ten years' time - research is already going in that direction. That will be the future of skin care!
In general, there will be more transparency. The customer wants to know whether the product has been tested for effectiveness. We at Zelens always underline our demands on skin care and publish everything on our website to make everything as clear as possible.
