LAURA MERCIER

Laura Mercier left the south of France at an early age to attend art school in Paris. Her mother persuaded her to train as a makeup artist at the Carita Beauty Institute. With this expertise, she went to the USA in the 1980s. Magazines, campaigns or celebrities - Laura Mercier was known for her "no make-up looks" and her beauty philosophy: "What makes you unique makes you beautiful." From this understanding and the need to give everyone the opportunity to emphasize their own beauty, founded her eponymous label in 1996.
