Pitch ointment, a well-known household remedy, has been produced and used for many generations, especially in the Alpine region. For this, protruding resin parts are carefully removed from the tree without damaging the tree. Fresh pitch from our partner in Lower Austria is used for our ointment. The pitch ointment has an antibacterial effect and supports the natural wound healing of the skin in a natural way. Likewise, the resin contained supports the regeneration of the nail in case of fungal infestation when used regularly. The viscous, sticky liquid exudes from the bark of the tree in the case of wounds and cracks. The tree protects itself from the penetration of pests, fungi or water with the seeping resin.
