Key Ingredients:
- 10% Glycolic Acid: An alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that removes dead cells for a brighter, smoother appearance.
- Kola, Mate, & Guarana Extracts: Natural extracts that soothe skin and lessen redness due to dryness.
- Algae peptides: Extracted from the Hawaiian Sea, algae peptides provide skin an immediate hydration boost and firm skin’s appearance.
- Dr. Loretta’s approach to skincare formulation is rooted in the skin aging exposome theory. This explains that a majority of skin aging changes are caused by exposure to real-world environmental aggressors and other influences, including stress, nutrition and sleep patterns.
Every Dr. Loretta product is formulated with high concentrations of proven actives and effective botanical ingredients to address the four key real-world factors we face each day:
1) Pollution: Indoor pollution is caused by exposure to paint, plastics, cooking, dust mites and more. Outdoor pollution comes from cars, power plants, construction, dust, and fires. Exposure can lead to rough skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.
2) Light: Sources of light include UVA/UVB rays and HEV blue light from the sun and electronics. Accumulated exposure causes uneven skin pigment, loss of firmness, wrinkles, sensitivity and rough texture.
3) Climate: From shifts in cold or hot weather both indoors and outdoors, our skin’s lipid barrier can cause excess oiliness and acne in warmer conditions, and dryer skin in colder conditions.
4) Irritants: Irritation can come from skincare ingredients like sulfates and artificial fragrance, which can lead to the breakdown of collagen and elastin, causing irritation and sensitivity.
Apply evenly 3 to 7 times per week, after cleansing. For first two weeks, rinse off after 10 to 20 minutes. After two weeks, if well tolerated, do not rinse off. Always apply SPF in the AM. Never apply to skin that is red, peeling, or irritated.
