St. Moritz Chic
Coffee table book celebrating the legendary ski resort – its lifestyle, hot-spots, party people, royal visitors and natural beauty, 268 pages, over 250 illustrations, silk hardcover.
Few places in the world unite so many top names in cinema, art, fashion and royalty year after year. St. Moritz has never lost its inimitable charm. Nestled in Switzerland’s alpine Engadin Valley, it stands apart from other celebrated ski resorts and continues to reign as an elegant hideaway for those who have made it a home away from home. From Gunter Sachs and Gianni Agnelli to Sofia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon and Claudia Schiffer, St. Moritz has always attracted an illustrious crowd.
In St. Moritz, celebrities and royals share skiwassers on the sheepskin benches of El Paradiso, sip champagne on long strolls around its frozen, crystalline lake, and enjoy coffee and confections at the centuries-old Hanselmann. Author Dora Lardelli takes the reader on a journey through Chanel and Hitchcock’s favorite haunts and the secret parties at Badrutt’s Palace. The book also highlights the natural beauty, village charm, and architectural mastery that define the area. St. Moritz Chic takes readers through the resort's special events, from the Winter Olympics to the annual Snow Polo World Cup, the summertime Jazz Festival and the British Classic Car Meeting.
