With the hourglass diffuser, an aesthetic object for perfuming the immediate environment, diptyque reinvents the art of room fragrance.

Due to the slow and gentle release of fragrance over months, the hourglass is perfect for small spaces such as a study or library, but also becomes a fragrant companion to evening reading when placed on a nightstand.

The exuding signature scent of diptyque: fresh, green and unusual notes of moss and crushed cassis leaves, underpinned by oriental spices and blended with multi-layered, warm woody and balsamic nuances.

- The hourglass diffuser by diptyque spreads its fragrance slowly and gently. It adds a subtle scent to the surrounding air and is ideal for perfuming small rooms (under 20 m²) - in larger rooms a scent impulse is set. The fragrance spreads to a radius of three to four metres around the object.

- For optimal atomization of the fragrance, it is recommended to place the hourglass diffuser near an open area in the room where sufficient air circulation is provided (on radiators, windows or fireplaces). As soon as the hourglass diffuser is turned upside down, it will start to smell. When you use it for the first time, turn it over two or three times in succession to fully impregnate the wick that spreads the fragrance.

- The hourglass only needs to be turned upside down to set a functional cycle in motion. Thanks to an ingenious interplay of gravity and capillary action, the contents flow slowly from one glass container to the other. For a very special hour, it now exudes its subtle notes.

- Screw the glass bottle tightly to the diffuser system to hermetically seal the object. Once a fragrance cycle is initiated, do not move, or invert the hourglass. Only when the diffusion cycle has ended after about 1 hour and the essence has completely dripped into the lower part of the glass, can the hourglass be turned over again after another quarter of an hour, thus setting a new diffusion cycle in motion.

- The hourglass diffuser is a permanent object that can be used for about three months until the essence has completely evaporated. With the same fragrance, it is possible to renew the diffuser with a refill.

- If the hourglass diffuser remains unused for a long time, turn it over two or three times in a row to reactivate the diffusion.

- The diffuser can be refilled once with the same fragrance
