The premium LUNARY PREGNANCY BOOST contains the most important supplementary micronutrients for women throughout pregnancy: high-quality folic acid, it is used the premium active ingredient Quatrefolic®, a registered trademark of Gnosis S.p.A., Vitamin B12, biotin, iron and a separate, bioactive Omega 3 capsule with high-dose DHA + EPA from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. - Pregnant? Congratulations! Your body will undergo many changes in the coming months. The build-up of maternal, placental and fetal tissue will increase the need for some minerals. In particular, the intake of folic acid and Omega 3 DHA and EPA is recommended for pregnant women to promote the normal neurological development of the fetus. Iron, iodine, choline and vitamin B12 can also be useful as supplements. An adequate supply of these nutrients reduces the risk of pregnancy complications such as premature birth and miscarriage, embryonic malformations, fetal growth retardation and low birth weight.

- Clinical studies show that folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissue and is therefore important throughout pregnancy. The placenta supplies the baby with all nutrients. The DGE recommends that women who wish to have children and pregnant women take 400µg of folic acid daily. Studies strongly suggest that these concentrations are not reached by the majority of women. The intake of DHA by the mother contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and the breastfed infant. The positive effect of DHA occurs when 200 mg of omega 3 are taken daily in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega 3 for adults (250 mg DHA and EPA). - Omega 3: Clinical studies clearly show the anti-inflammatory effect of unsaturated fatty acids. However, clinical studies found limited evidence that omega 3 supplementation reduces symptoms of depression, but some evidence that omega 3 is effective in reducing anxiety symptoms.  Most of the gray literature, on the other hand, recommends omega 3 supplements for the relief of anxiety and depression symptoms.
