As a fashion and living editor for various print magazines, such as Woman, Für Sie, Brigitte, Flair, and Couch, she is a true professional in tracking down trends and has a trained eye for harmonious living and color concepts. In 2016 she swapped her way to the publishing house for her interior boutique "Bon Voyage Interieur" in Hamburg. There she sells furniture, fashion & lifestyle accessories in a casual French Riviera style: elegant with a touch of Bohemian flair.

1. Who are you, and where does your passion for interior come from?

I was an editor in fashion and living departments for 18 years at various magazines and publishing houses. I grew up in Gütersloh; my mother had a furniture store. I started working there very early. I always loved being in the store, going to fairs, etc. I also inherited the passion for decorating; my grandmother ever had a soft spot for it, too. But it was always my dream to become a fashion editor, so I moved to Hamburg to study and made my dream come true.

I was on the road a lot for the publishing houses, and later on, I did not only work for fashion - but also live congresses. This rekindled my passion for living, and at some point, it had to be my store...

2. What is your favorite room, and why?

My favorite rooms are all (few) rooms of "The Sister Hotel" in Milan. The hotel is located above the Six Gallery, it opened recently, and I was lucky to be able to see the rooms in advance. The hotel was designed by the designer duo Quincoces -Dragó (I'm a big fan ;); the rooms are beautifully eclectic, with unique vintage pieces and a nice mix of materials velvet, brass, wood and raffia elements. There you immediately feel at home.

The Six Gallery is also one of my favorite places. In addition to exceptionally curated vintage furniture, you can also buy Quincoces -Dragó's creations there and a beautiful restaurant - I love the courtyard!

3. What is your ultimate interior tip?

Set color accents! Often it works wonders if you paint a square, paint stripes on the ceiling, or a circle on a big wall. I also find material mixes very exciting, such as combining marble and brass to bast.

4. What role does beauty play in your life?

A big role! If you have a passion for fashion & living, beauty is also part of it. I love care rituals, like taking an oil bath (from Diptyque) before going to bed.

5. Which beauty product can you not do without in your everyday life?

The Glow Stick from Gucci Westma, and the shower oil from Diptyque. I also love the Intensive Treatment Foot Oil by Margaret Dabbs.
