Even as a child you were interested in make-up. How did it develop into a career?

I was always busy changing the look of myself and others. I have always loved when people were willing to take risks, such as changing hair and eyebrows. Of course, I have always loved to make myself up and, like today, prefer to use my hands. This passion was the foundation for my career today.  

What was the inspiration for your own line?

I wanted to do something different. Organic make-up was my goal. I love to use products that don't contain any nonsense ingredients. With this wish and my own collection I seem to have hit the nerve of the time.

You have many prominent customers. Did they want certain products from you?

Yes, I work with many celebrities, but not only. I'm only interested in the overall picture, a result that I have in mind and want to achieve - that inspired me in product development.

Give us an insider tip! How should we best apply your products?

You can use your index finger for the eyelid tints. Go with the finger directly into the jar and stroke with it over the eyelids. The Cheektints are applied to the cheeks with circular movements. And another tip for my Kohl eyeliner: I also apply them to lips.

I use The Gold Bar as a preparation step for my customers. It makes a visible difference by padding and contouring the cheek area and jaw area. I don't want to do without this tool anymore! It is made in Japan, consists of 24K gold and really delivers what it promises.

 

Jillian's tips

1. To make eyes shine, I use Lid Tint in Peach and emphasize the eyelid crease with my Kohl Eyeliner in Rich Brown - I blend the transitions with the Mini Fan Brush. I do the same at the lower edge of the lashes.

2. With narrow lips I apply lipstick gladly with the finger or a brush. Sometimes it can be helpful to slightly overdraw the lip contour with a lip liner. Make sure it is not freshly sharpened so that the line is softer.

3.  For a 24-hour look, I use my waterproof Jet Black Kohl eyeliner, which is perfect for contouring the eyes, is super blurred and lasts all day.
