Benzoin sharpens the senses before a translucent vanilla slides into the glazed base of golden amber, patchouli and a luminous white musk. The story: The Cora Sun-Drop Diamond is the largest, yellow, pear-shaped diamond in the world, weighing in at 110.3 carats. Coloured by tiny amounts of nitrogen trapped in the carbon molecules, The Cora was formed between 1 and 3 billion years ago and was discovered in South Africa in 2010. It was sold in 2011 at an auction in Geneva for almost £7 million to an anonymous buyer.
